Ambas desde el 2023 son pista de una sola vía, pues antes solamente estaba afirmado, sin embargo la vía es angosta en algunos tramos por lo que es recomendable viajar de día y con precaución.
- Condiciones del camino: Ten en cuenta que, si bien la Panamericana Norte es una vía asfaltada, el tramo desde Pativilca hasta Cajatambo es una pista de una sola vía, por lo que es importante conducir con precaución y verificar las condiciones de la vía, especialmente en temporada de lluvias.
